Dome Solar acquires Mounting Systems
Dome Solar, the French market leader in mounting systems for photovoltaic panels on large rooftops and solar carports, announced in March 2026 the acquisition of selected strategic assets from Mounting Systems, including the brand, key intellectual property rights, as well as the technologies behind flat-roof solutions, in particular LightX and FD3.
This transaction enables Dome Solar to combine one of the most extensive portfolios of mounting systems on the French market with proven German engineering in the field of ballasted systems, thereby delivering reliable and high-performance photovoltaic solutions tailored to real-world conditions.
The goal is clear: to leverage this engineering tradition and integrate it into a robust industrial approach to better serve high-growth markets in Europe, North Africa, and beyond.

Dome Solar develops, manufactures and distributes mounting systems for photovoltaic installations on large industrial and commercial rooftops, solar carports and ground-mounted projects.
Founded in 2008, the company is currently led by Jean-Philippe Leray and Josselin Noire and is part of the Kingspan Group. It has established itself as a significant player, offering one of the most comprehensive product portfolios in the industry with over 5 GW of installed capacity in Europe and beyond.
The company employs around 100 employees on three industrial sites and has an integrated R&D laboratory as well as its own testing facilities — the industrial base that now supports the entire range of Mounting Systems.

Will LightX and FD3 remain available?
Product continuity is the top priority. LightX and FD3 will remain fully available—now backed by the industrial capacity and supply chain of Dome Solar, ensuring reliable product availability at any scale.

Does „Made in Germany“ still count?
Yes. The original German suppliers will be retained. Engineering standards, requirements for structural calculations, and quality controls will remain unchanged. The German manufacturing tradition is a central part of Mounting Systems' brand identity.

Who can I contact for technical support?
Your existing contacts remain unchanged. Dome Solar is strengthening local technical teams in key markets—Spain, Poland, Germany, Morocco, and beyond—to ensure strong support for EPCs and installers during the transition phase and beyond.

What new products are available now?
Thanks to Dome Solar, you now have access to an expanded portfolio, including systems for pitched roofs (NPA+ Side, NPA+ Top, NPO+, RB-Solar Tilt, Hélios B², Ital-Solar, Fibro-Solar), systems for flat roofs (Roof-Solar), a solution for carports (Hélios RC3), as well as systems for ground-mounted installations.
