High-quality tracking technology in action: Tata, Hungary
Hungary – an attractive solar market
As in many European countries, solar power is constantly gaining more popularity in Hungary. According to the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA), Hungary had a total of 1.28 GWp of installed solar energy at the end of 2019. In addition, the Solar Future Hungary states that 2018 was a record-breaking year for the country in terms of solar energy capacity, with an impressive 700 MWp of cumulative installed photovoltaic capacity. The encouraging political landscape, which favors renewables and the solar energy sector, further supports these positive developments.
Mounting Systems GmbH present in Hungary with a new project
We at Mounting Systems GmbH have also been privileged to contribute to the development of Hungarian solar power. We have broadened our project spectrum with a successful ground-mounted Sigma Tracker project in Tata, Hungary, some 70 km north-west from Budapest. Mounting Systems GmbH delivered the installation systems for the solar park of our partner Photon Energy. The park was put into operation in March of this year. The final installed DC power of the project is 4.31 MWp and encompassed 10.608 half-cut photovoltaic modules, which were installed in a portrait orientation. The project was carried out with the single-axis Sigma Tracker mounting system, which is equipped with extremely adaptable and reliable technology and has low maintenance needs.
As usual, the PV mounting systems were delivered by truck directly to the building site, pre-assembled. This guaranteed the fast and easy and fast installation of the systems. The self-locking technology of the Sigma Tracker system guarantees excellent stability even in harsh conditions. The systems can withstand wind speeds as high as 260 km/h in the safety position. For customer convenience, our Sigma View online tool provides real-time operational statistics for the entire solar park.
Mounting Systems – More than a system. It’s a brand.
