A new era begins

Our new building is ready for the future

More room for innovation and efficiency

Our drive drives our customers' successes.

The opening of a new plant often marks a turning point in the development of a company. It is a bold step into the future that is eagerly awaited. For us at Mounting Systems, this moment was not only exciting but also extremely important, as we want to guarantee our customers a better delivery time as well as better availability. In this blog article, we would like to give you a behind-the-scenes look at the benefits we have achieved through our recent expansion.

More space, more possibilities. Our modern production and warehouse building was officially inaugurated recently. Close to our headquarters, we now have an additional production facility with an impressive total area of 25,677 square meters. Of this, Unit 2 (storage area) accounts for a proud 10,175 square meters and Unit 3 (production area) for a generous 5,116 square meters. In addition, approximately 2,175.88 square meters of office and ancillary space were created to ensure efficient coordination of all logistical aspects.

A mezzanine area of approximately 1,278.90 square meters was also used as a storage area and helps maximize our storage capacity. These premises offer us double the capacity for the material produced and a large storage area where the goods can be well stored.

Mounting Systems on course for expansion

We are looking forward to being able to supply our customers and business partners even faster and more efficiently. The expansion not only opens up spatial possibilities for us, but also a wealth of new perspectives. Thanks to the improved infrastructure, we now have better access to the highway, resulting in a more efficient supply chain. Our order logistics are excited about the possibilities offered by our new Plant 2 and are ready to process all orders with maximum precision and efficiency as usual.

"The location of our logistics area in this new building allows us to plan and coordinate all deliveries for our customers and partners even more efficiently. We have installed special ramps that enable safe loading of the trucks. This has not only optimized our logistics processes, but also significantly shortened the entire delivery process," explains Antje Mosch, Team Leader Order Logistics.

This expansion has the additional positive effect of creating further jobs on the labor market. The increase in production capacity and thus faster order processing for customers was our drive for this investment.

We would like to thank our customers and partners for their support and trust and look forward to new, exciting projects in the future. You are cordially invited to visit us at the new location. Stay up to date and don't miss any of our updates.

Plant 4 - completion Q1 2023

More space - more possibilities

Due to the steadily increasing demand for our substructures, we will adapt our production and logistics processes as quickly as possible and thus more than double our capacities.

With a total area of 25,677m², another production facility will be built close to our main office. Another 1,905m² will soon be available to us as additional office space.

We are looking forward to generating more jobs through the expansion of our existing location in Rangsdorf and to soon be able to deliver more goods to our customers and partners in a shorter time.

Large-Scale Hybrid Project

Today we finally have the next Sigma Tracker-Project put into operation. MSY Group, the European specialist in medium and large-scale PV tracking solutions, has commissioned the next challenging tracker project in Southeast Europe. With a total capacity of 66 MWp, it is the largest solar tracker project in Southeast Europe and the first for an IPP.

This project combines state-of-the-art technologies and applications, such as:

  • Unconstrained bifaciality to maximize backside gain.
  • Mechanically stiffened frame structure for particularly large-format modules to prevent unexpected mechanical impacts on the modules
  • Self-locking features on each post to improve system robustness
  • Web-enabled user interfaces and cloud-based data storage to ensure future compatibility
  • AI-based functional routines in tracking and adjusting to environmental conditions to increase project yields
  • Industry-standard automation components to ensure long-term operability

Forum New Energy World 2021 in Berlin

10.09.2021

It's that time again: The annual Forum Neue Energiewelt conference is just around the corner. The two-day event, organized by Conexio-PSE, will take place on September 22 and 23, 2021 at Festsaal Kreuzberg in Berlin, Germany.

The program includes networking, moderated discussions, pitches and presentations on a wide range of current topics related to renewable energy and the energy transition. The focus will be on topics such as photovoltaics, storage systems, green hydrogen, renewable energy policy and other current developments in the market.

Forum New Energy World MSY_EN

Continuation for last year's successc

After the successful first staging last year at the new location in Kreuzberg, the conference can physically take place again at the same venue. This is made possible by a strict hygiene concept that Conexio-PSE created and coordinated with the location and the authorities.

In addition, this year's event offers a new feature that allows digital participation via video stream. This has enabled Conexio-PSE to guarantee from the outset that the conference will take place despite possible short-term restrictions due to the unpredictable Corona situation.

Mounting Systems present as "Gold Sponsor"

As last year, Mounting Systems will be present at this year's 22nd edition as a gold sponsor. Our colleagues from the business unit "Solar Parks and Utility-Scale Projects" are looking forward to welcoming you at our booth for an exchange with other industry colleagues.

Join the event and come by to learn more about our fixed-tilt and solar tracker systems for photovoltaic installations. We are looking forward to your visit!

About the New Energy World Forum

For more than 20 years, the annual conference Forum Neue Energiewelt has been the most important meeting place for innovative companies seeking insights and ideas for a successful energy transition. In addition to presentations and discussions, the focus is on exchanging ideas and making new contacts. The conference offers a unique opportunity to get in touch with all the key players in the energy industry and discuss the relevant topics and challenges.

Mounting systems for the largest solar carport in the world

08.06.2021

Mounting Systems has developed its Sigma Carport solution for the world's first 35 MWp solar carport park supplied by Solarfields and Lowlandsin Biddinghuizen, the Netherlands. The solar park is being built on the Lowlands parking lots next to the MOJO open-air festival site and covers an area of 35 hectares. A total of 90,000 bifacial solar modules will generate 35 MWp of energy, equivalent to the electricity consumption of 10,000 households per year or 100 festival weekends. Currently, the parking lot is used by at least four major festivals from May through October. The annual carbon emissions avoided are 18,410,000 kg.

Steel structures on a sturdy foundation

After a thorough assessment of the ground conditions, 2,770 special concrete foundation piles, each five meters long and weighing three tons, were driven into the ground. Once a stable foundation had been created, the steel systems were installed. Depending on the application, three different types of steel structures were assembled from standardized components - two structures for one car with three PV modules vertically and one structure for two cars (facing each other) with five PV modules vertically. The hot-dip galvanized structures in combination with the robust concrete foundations guarantee a solid and reliable carport system for more than 25 years.

Ground Mount Systems for an 18 MWp PV Plant in Germany

07.04.2021

Mounting Systems has delivered two-post ground mount systems for a photovoltaic plant, located in eastern Germany, approximately 60 km from the capital, Berlin.

A total of around 541 tons of assembly material was delivered by trucks directly to the construction site. Deliveries were made in stages to ensure a smooth and organized construction process at the site.

The foundation method chosen for the project was driven piles, which were driven to a embedment depth of 1.50m. The Sigma II system was adapted for a module inclination of 17°, and 40.320 PV modules were installed using module clamps. The PV system has an electrical DC capacity of 18 MWp.
