Efficient use of resources through the circular economy

We actively contribute to conserving resources, saving energy and reducing CO₂ emissions through targeted measures. An important aspect of this is the circular economy, which enables us to use valuable raw materials efficiently while minimizing our ecological footprint.

Separation of recyclable materials and recycling

An essential component is the consistent separation of recyclable materials. Aluminum shavings, wood and cardboard are recorded and collected separately so that they can then be recycled directly. This preserves valuable raw materials in the economic cycle and reduces the need for new materials. This not only lowers the consumption of natural resources, but also reduces the CO₂ emissions that would be generated during the production of new materials.

Intelligent use of thermal energy

In addition to material recycling, we also focus on the efficient use of energy by making optimum use of existing heat sources. One example of this is the recirculation of warm exhaust air from the chip extraction system. After thorough filtering, this air is fed back into the hall, which allows us to significantly reduce heating costs in winter and efficiently reuse heat that has already been generated.

Even the waste heat generated by the operation of our air compressors does not go unused. Instead of releasing it into the environment, we feed it into our heating system. In this way, we make sensible use of the energy that is generated anyway and reduce our overall energy consumption.

A holistic approach for a sustainable future

By combining these measures, we are making an active contribution to conserving natural resources and reducing CO₂ emissions. Our sustainable approach not only helps us to meet ecological standards, but also to reduce operating costs in the long term. Environmentally conscious production is not only a benefit for the environment, but also for us as a company.

Three weeks, two bikes and a common goal: Mounting Systems was once again fully committed to city cycling this year - and with great success. Our team covered 8,621 kilometers, saving 1,413.8 kilograms of CO₂. A strong signal for active climate protection and sustainable mobility.

What is city cycling?
City Cycling is a Germany-wide campaign by the Climate Alliance in which local authorities, schools, companies, clubs and private individuals cycle as many everyday journeys as possible - instead of using their cars. The aim is to promote cycling, reduce emissions and raise awareness of climate-friendly transportation.

With 20 dedicated cyclists, we at Mounting Systems have made our contribution - whether on the way to work, in our free time or at the weekend. Every single kilometer counts when it comes to protecting our environment and living sustainable alternatives.

We were awarded certificates and prizes for our achievements at the official award ceremony at the Gutsparkfest in Groß Machnow - a wonderful moment that shows how much we can achieve together.

For us, city cycling is much more than just a competition. It is part of our responsibility as a company - and a great example of how we embed sustainability in our everyday lives. We would like to say thank you to everyone who took part and are already looking forward to next year!

Female Power at Mounting Systems - Strong women in strong positions

Women in management positions or in traditionally male-dominated professions? At Mounting Systems, this has long been a reality! Our female colleagues are not only represented in traditional areas such as administration or HR, but also take on management responsibility, control processes in production or work as experts in the warehouse. With their commitment, expertise and innovative spirit, they drive our company forward every day.

We focus on diversity and equal opportunities because we know that: Successful companies need strong teams with different perspectives. Every female colleague contributes her individual strengths, promotes joint progress and enriches our corporate culture. We are particularly proud of the fact that the proportion of women in management positions at Mounting Systems is above the industry average - a clear sign that equal opportunities are not just a promise for us, but an everyday reality.

The more visible women are in technical professions or in company management, the more natural their presence becomes. Our female colleagues prove day after day that they take responsibility, lead the way with courage and actively shape the future of renewable energies. They are role models for future generations and encourage others to break new ground. Particularly in areas such as production and storage, which have long been considered male domains, they set a strong example for change and progress.

With flexible working models and an open corporate culture, we create the best conditions for balancing career and private life. We specifically promote the further development of our employees and encourage them to seize opportunities, take on new challenges and actively shape their careers.

Equal opportunities is not just a buzzword for us, but an integral part of our corporate philosophy. Our female colleagues are an indispensable part of our success - with their expertise, drive and enthusiasm, they are helping to shape the future of Mounting Systems. Together we set a strong example for diversity and progress - today and in the future!

Trainee project with added value

Our trainees have once again proven that sustainability is not just a word at Mounting Systems, but a lived practice. As part of a special project, they used their creativity and craftsmanship to build unique birdhouses. The special thing about it? All the materials used come from our own stocks and were originally intended for disposal. This turned what was supposed to be waste into a meaningful upcycling project with real added value!

Sustainability meets craftsmanship

With saws, hammers and a lot of dedication, our trainees have created true works of art from old wood scraps. Each birdhouse is unique and shows how sustainable and creative solutions can be created from existing resources. The finished birdhouses are not only a visual highlight, but also make an important contribution to environmental protection. This is because they offer our native birds a protected nesting place and thus contribute to biodiversity.

A win for everyone

To honor the commitment of our trainees and to share the joy of the artistic constructions, the finished birdhouses are raffled off among our colleagues. This not only brings a piece of sustainability to our employees' gardens, but also strengthens team spirit.

We are proud of the initiative and sense of responsibility of our young talents and are delighted with this successful contribution to a more sustainable future!

New HSE department at Mounting Systems: a safe step towards sustainability and health

Since October, we have had a new Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) department in the company. As part of quality management, it ensures compliance with legal requirements in health protection, occupational safety and environmental management. In short, it creates the framework conditions that enable a safe and sustainable working environment from which Mounting Systems and its employees benefit!

As we wanted to find out more about the area, we conducted an interview with Jeannette, our HSE Manager. Below you can find out more about her and her new tasks and how we can all benefit from her and her area of responsibility in the company.

What are you responsible for as HSE Manager?
What topics are you responsible for?

Jeannette: I am the central point of contact both internally and externally when it comes to health protection, occupational safety and environmental management. I create standardised processes and framework conditions based on legal requirements. These ensure a safe working environment, healthy employees and a sustainable corporate policy.

Why did you decide to do this?

Jeannette: I love familiarising myself with new tasks and taking on responsibility. My business studies and ten years of self-employment have given me an entrepreneurial mindset. This is necessary in order to recognise risks at an early stage, derive measures and make decisions. On the other hand, it is always important to me to see people, recognise needs and work for the well-being of others.

Have you set yourself any goals? If so, what do they look like?

Jeannette: The specific target images for the individual areas are currently being developed. Irrespective of this, however, I have a vision. And that is that health, safety and environmental responsibility are firmly anchored in our MSY corporate philosophy.

If you had one wish in the work context, what would it be?

Jeannette: My wish is that the framework conditions I have created are filled with life. This means that people understand why it is necessary to integrate this area into everyday working life and how each individual can make their own contribution.

Sustainability has become such a hackneyed word. What does that mean for you in concrete terms?

Jeannette: For me, sustainable means that I consciously and mindfully do things in such a way that they are meaningful in the moment and have a positive long-term impact on the world and everyone involved. A radiance from the present into the future, so to speak.

How do you integrate the topic of sustainability into your private life?

Jeannette: This happens in many different ways. For example, in my interpersonal relationships - with family, friends and at work. Or it manifests itself in my connection to nature or in my respect for our resources. In September, for example, I cycled from Berlin to Usedom with two friends and our bikes - I'm still living on that time and will certainly tell my (great-)grandchildren about it.

Sustainable training

Live your passion

YOLO - ever heard of it? It was the youth word of the year back in 2012 and it's on the list again this year. "You Only Live Once" - you only live once. A perfect motto when it comes to choosing a career. Because life is too short to do a job that you don't enjoy. That's why it's important to find out what suits you before you start your career.

For this reason, we were represented at the Südring Centre's training fair last weekend to advise interested pupils and those looking for training and to provide information about our range of services.

Many young people and adults visited our stand with interest and got talking to us. There was great demand for work placements for school pupils and for our apprenticeships. We have even been successful in receiving the first applications.

Shaping the future

Sustainable education for a better world

But it's not just fun and passion that should play a role when it comes to choosing an apprenticeship. In today's world, it is just as important to pay attention to sustainability. A sustainable education not only helps to protect our environment, but can also bring long-term benefits for your own career and society.

At Mounting Systems GmbH, we consider in-company training to be a key pillar of our sustainability strategy. Our approach aims not only to develop skilled professionals, but also to promote sustainable values and practices that will benefit our company and the environment in the long term.

We are delighted to welcome new trainees to our company again this year. After all, careers in the renewable energy sector not only offer interesting and varied fields of work, but also contribute to making the world a better place. In addition, these professions are often crisis-proof and offer good prospects for the future.

So why not combine the "YOLO" idea with sustainable training? Because if you only live once, you should use this opportunity to do something good not only for yourself, but also for the world.

Sustainable carport solutions

Turning parking lots into green power plants

At a time when the world urgently needs environmentally friendly solutions, Mounting Systems is a pioneer in the development of innovative technologies for sustainable power generation. Our mission is clear: with our motto "FIXX the World", we are actively committed to a better and greener future. It is precisely for this reason that we have developed our latest product, the E-Port FIXX, was launched on the market.

The idea behind the E-Port FIXX is as simple as it is ingenious. There are huge, unused concrete surfaces in almost every country, be it in parking lots in front of supermarkets, shopping centers or office buildings. These unused areas offer a lot of potential. Why not use them efficiently and turn them into a sustainable source of energy?

Our E-Port FIXX is more than just a carport. It not only provides a large area of shade for parked vehicles, but also produces solar energy at the same time. This transforms an ordinary parking canopy into a modern solar solution that actively contributes to reducing CO₂ emissions. With every E-Port FIXX installed, we bring the world one step closer to an emission-free future.

E-Port FIXX
E-Port FIXX
E-Port FIXX

But that's not all. The E-Port FIXX also stands for flexibility and adaptability. It can be installed in a wide variety of environments - from urban housing estates to rural industrial areas. This opens up countless opportunities to convert unused space into valuable resources and thus further promote the expansion of renewable energies.

With the E-Port FIXX, we want to show that sustainable energy generation does not have to be complicated. Each individual can make their own contribution and together we can change the world - step by step, project by project. Let's FIXX the world together to create a greener, more liveable future.

Mounting Systems makes kilometers for environmental protection

On your marks, get set, go! With the starting signal on 13.05.2024, we have actively moved for the environment for the third time in a row this year. Because we at Mounting Systems not only develop innovative solutions for substructures for PV modules, we also pedal hard.

During the city cycling event, we showed that we take responsibility and have a lot of fun at the same time. Our employees took part with great enthusiasm and made a positive contribution to the environment and team spirit by cycling.

With 19 motivated cyclists from our team, we covered an impressive 5,033 kilometers! That means 254 journeys and a whopping 835.4 kg of CO₂ saved.

A special highlight was the city cycling award ceremony at the Gutsparkfest in Groß Machnow, where our top cyclists Chris and Peter were honored for their outstanding achievements and received their well-deserved prizes.

Looking to the future:

City cycling was not only a sporting challenge, but also a great opportunity to work together for a more sustainable future. We are proud of the great results and can't wait to get going as a team again next year!
